Read full description of the books:
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I appreciate Bob Jensen’s blunt, clear, writing style. I am not an academic and I admire people who can write and speak about intricate, controversial topics in a way I can easily understand. I like that Jensen opens up and shares so personally about himself and his life. From almost the beginning I wish I had met Jim Koplin, too. Especially after I read what he had written as a dedication to his mother in a book outline, which Jensen included.
To my mother Dorathea, who brought me into this world
one January morning
on a farm in rural Minnesota
and whose life
in its concrete pain
taught me what the oppression of women
is all about.
That was not the first, or last time, I wept while reading this book. But I believe it brought on the most copious of tears.
